Curtis's hat trick leads Belleville as Bulls stomp Oshawa Generals 9-4 @NHLdotcom

OSHAWA, Ont. - Michael Curtis fired a hat trick to lead the Belleville Bulls to a 9-4 thrashing of the slumping Oshawa Generals in Ontario Hockey League action Friday night.

The Generals carried a 2-1 lead briefly, but the Bulls tied it before the first period was done, the first of seven unanswered goals.

Alex Aleardi added two goals and two assists for the Bulls (18-33-7), while Luke Judson also scored twice. Brett Mackie and Richard Panik had the other Belleville goals.

Christian Thomas replied with a pair of goals for the Generals (21-32-5), who have now lost 10 games in a row. Boone Jenner and J.P. Labardo scored the others.

Tyson Teichmann made 29 saves in net for the Bulls, who out-shot the Generals 51-33.

Oshawa's Kevin Bailie allowed six goals on 30 shots before being replaced by Michael Zador, who allowed the final three on 21 shots.
