Curtis's 33-save effort guides Portland to 6-0 victory over Seattle

PORTLAND, Ore. - Ian Curtis turned aside 33 shots for his third shutout of the season as the Portland Winterhawks cruised past the Seattle Thunderbirds 6-0 in WHL action Thursday.

Brad Ross led the way offensively with two goals and an assist for the Winterhawks (25-15-1), who have won three straight games.

Spencer Bennett and Ryan Johansen added a goal and two assists apice, while Chris Francis and Riley Boychuk had singles.

Calvin Pickard and Kyle Jahraus combined to make 31 saves for the Thunderbirds (13-21-6), who are winless in four games.
