After opening the NHL season with three consecutive home games, the Boston Bruins
are taking the defense of their Stanley Cup championship on the road.
Versus will be on hand at the RBC Center on Wednesday night when the Bruins visit the Carolina Hurricanes
in their first road game of the season. The telecast begins at 7:30 p.m. ET and will be preceded by the network's pregame show, NHL Live, at 7.
Canadian viewers can tune see the Bruins and Hurricanes on TSN2.
Neither team is off to the kind of start it had hoped for. Boston beat Tampa Bay 4-1 on Saturday, but that win was sandwiched by losses to Philadelphia (2-1) and Colorado (1-0). The Hurricanes have just one point to show for losing their first three games. The most recent loss was a 4-2 defeat at New Jersey on Monday afternoon.
There are two other games on Wednesday's schedule. After winning 1-0 at Boston on Monday, Colorado moves on to Columbus for a 7 p.m. ET start. The Blue Jackets are 0-3-0, including a 3-2 loss to Vancouver on Monday. After a day off, the Canucks are in Philadelphia, where the Flyers are playing their home opener after road wins at Boston and New Jersey. That game can be seen in Canada on TSN beginning at 7:30 p.m. ET.
