50-Kings-All-Star-mega-tournament

Even though All-Star Weekend has come and gone, it doesn't mean we can't keep having fun with the 3-on-3 All-Star format!
I've assembled five LA Kings teams to create All-Star rosters for each decade in the franchise's history.

1977 - 1986

Marcel Dionne - Dave Taylor - Jay Wells
Bernie Nicholls - Jim Fox - Larry Murphy
Charlie Simmer - Mike Murphy - Mark Hardy
Mario Lessard
The Miracle on Manchester was played during this decade and it's no coincidence that all 10 players chosen for this team appeared in that game.

1987 - 1996

Wayne Gretzky - Luc Robitaille - Rob Blake
Jari Kurri - Tony Granato - Marty McSorley
Jimmy Carson - Tomas Sandstrom - Steve Duchesne
Kelly Hrudey
At the time, the Kings deep run in the 1993 playoffs was the closest the team had ever come to winning the Stanley Cup. No surprise that nine of the players selected helped get that team there.

1997 - 2006

Jozeph Stumpel - Ziggy Palffy - Lubomir Visnovsky
Bryan Smolinski - Adam Deadmarsh - Mattias Norstrom
Ian Lapperriere - Glen Murray - Mathieu Schneider
Felix Potvin
The highlight of a difficult decade was undoubtedly the Frenzy on Figueroa. Along with the Miracle on Manchester, it remains one of the great playoff comebacks of all time and that is clearly reflected in the makeup of this team.
