It's going to be a few more weeks before Arizona Coyotes forward Lawson Crouse can unload some meaningful slapshots, so he's taken to launching baseballs until then.

Friday night the Coyotes were on hand at Chase Field, home of the Arizona Diamondbacks, for a theme night where the MLB team honored their NHL counterparts.

Crouse took the opportunity to show off his baseball swing.

A video shared on Twitter shows the 20-year-old launching a pitch during pregame batting practice to the way out regions of center field.

While it is unclear how far the ball went, judging by Crouse's reaction it does not appear to be the one that cleared the fence.

Crouse was pretty confident that he was going to park one heading into the night.

While there wasn't video evidence of it, the Diamondbacks tweeted that Crouse did eventually hit one out.
