Jakob Chychrun is expected to resume skating with the Arizona Coyotes in the coming days for the first time since having knee surgery in April.

The 20-year-old defenseman was injured against the Calgary Flames on April 3 and had surgery the following week.
Coyotes general manager John Chayka said Chychrun is in Arizona and "has been cleared to skate and will resume skating any day."

Chychrun had 14 points (four goals, 10 assists) and averaged 20:15 of ice time in 50 games for the Coyotes last season. The No. 16 pick in the 2016 NHL Draft, Chychrun has 34 points (11 goals, 23 assists) in 118 NHL games.
Chychrun also had knee surgery in August 2017 and missed the first 29 games last season.
