Coyotes-GM 5-4

The Arizona Coyotes will name 26-year-old John Chayka their general manager on Thursday, TSN reported.
Chayka, an assistant general manager with the Coyotes since May 2015, will replace Don Maloney, who was fired on April 11.

The Coyotes have a press conference scheduled for Thursday.
"Chayka is involved in all areas of hockey operations including NHL, minor league and amateur player evaluation as well as player development and coaching support," according to his bio on the Coyotes website.
He is the co-founder and was director of hockey operations at Stathletes Inc., a hockey analytics firm. Chayka, who turns 27 on June 9, would be the youngest GM in NHL history, TSN said.
Coach Dave Tippett will be given an expanded role, according to TSN reporter Bob McKenzie.
