Arizona Coyotes forward Joe Vitale will be out indefinitely after sustaining an upper-body injury Saturday.
"He's going to miss some time," Arizona coach Dave Tippett told the Coyotes website Sunday.
Vitale played his first game of the season Saturday against the Boston Bruins, a 5-3 loss, and fought with Kevan Miller in the second period. Vitale left the game and did not return. He was taken to the hospital, and Tippett said he was still having tests done Sunday.
Tippett said it's likely that Vitale won't be with the Coyotes on their five-game road trip, which begins Tuesday against the New Jersey Devils.
