Coyotes bring Brule back to NHL @NHLdotcom

The Phoenix Coyotes on Tuesday recalled forward Gilbert Brule from Portland of the American Hockey League.

Brule, who signed a one-year, two-contract with the Coyotes on Nov. 30, had seven goals, five assists and a plus-3 rating in 11 AHL games.

If Brule plays Tuesday against the Colorado Avalanche, it would be his first regular-season NHL game since April 7, 2012. Brule spent last season playing in Switzerland.

Taken by the Columbus Blue Jackets with the sixth pick of the 2005 NHL Draft, Brule has 43 goals and 95 points in 296 NHL games with the Blue Jackets, Edmonton Oilers and Coyotes.
