OTTAWA - Corey Cowick, Tyler Toffoli and Cody Lindsay each had a goal and an assist as the Ottawa 67's knocked off the Barrie Colts 6-3 in Ontario Hockey League action Friday night.
Andrew Merrett and Ryan Martindale also scored for the 67's (35-23-7), while Thomas Nesbitt added an empty net goal for some insurance. Ottawa got a 35-save performance from Petr Mrazek.
Zac Rinalso and Matt Kennedy each had a goal and an assist for the Colts (53-9-2) and Bryan Cameron scored his 50th goal of the season.
Peter Di Salvo started in goal for Barrie but was pulled 14 minutes into the first period after allowing three goals on 10 shots. Mavric Parks finished up in the Colts' goal turning aside 17 of 19 shots.
The 67's are one point away from clinching the second seed in the Eastern Conference of the Ontario Hockey League after the Kingston Frontenacs lost Friday.
The Colts still need one point to lay claim to the Hamilton Spectator Trophy as the OHL regular season champions.
