Couture, Nigro score shootout goals as 67's defeat Frontenacs @NHLdotcom

KINGSTON, Ont. - Logan Couture scored and added two assists in regulation, then had the first of Ottawa's two shootout goals as the 67's beat the Kingston Frontenacs 5-4 in Ontario Hockey League action Tuesday.

Anthony Nigro also scored in the shootout for Ottawa. That was all the 67's needed, as goaltender Adam Courchaine stopped both Kingston shooters.

The Frontenacs salvaged a point when Ethan Werek scored with 28 seconds left in regulation to send the game to overtime.

Nigro, Cody Lindsay and Martin Paryzek had the other regulation goals for Ottawa (38-21-5-2).

George Lovatsis, Colt Kennedy and Nathan Moon had Kingston's other goals.

Courchaine finished with 40 saves for the 67's.

Mavric Parks was stellar in regulation and overtime for Kingston (17-38-6-4), recording 48 saves.
