Couture and Cowick lead Ottawa to 4-2 victory over the Plymouth Whalers

PLYMOUTH, Mich. - Logan Couture and Corey Cowick each had three points as the Ottawa 67's defeated the Plymouth Whalers 4-2 Saturday night in Ontario Hockey League action.

Couture, a signed San Jose prospect and Ottawa's captain, had a goal and two assists and Cowick two goals, including the game-winner, and a helper for the 67's (11-9-0-1).

Ryan Martindale scored the other goal for Ottawa, who got a 37-save performance from Chris Perugini. Tyler Toffoli added two assists.

AJ Jenks and Kaine Geldart scored for the Whalers (6-11-2-0) and Matt Hackett turned aside 23 shots in net.

Plymouth lost all three of its games this week and has won just once in its last eight games.
