OSHAWA, Ont. - Corey Cowick scored once and set up another to lead the Oshawa Generals to a 3-1 win over the Brampton Battalion in Ontario Hockey League action Sunday afternoon.
Dean Howard and Brett MacLean also scored for the Generals (15-7-0-3), who moved back into a share for first place with the Belleville Bulls in both the East Division and Eastern Conference.
Graham McNabb scored the lone goal for the Battalion (13-9-1-2), breaking Jakub Kovar's shutout bid with 10:41 remaining.
MacLean has now scored at least once in all 11 games this month, 22 all told, and leads the league with 29 goals.
Bryan Pitton was in goal for the Battalion, who outshot the Generals 30-27 despite taking more than 13 minutes to get their first puck on net.
The Generals were 1-for-6 on the power play while killing off all eight Brampton chances.
