Corbett scores twice as Oil Kings beat Rebels 7-4

EDMONTON - Cody Corbett scored two goals as the Edmonton Oil Kings defeated the visiting Red Deer Rebels 7-4 on Saturday in Ontario Hockey League action.

Dylan Wruck, T.J. Foster, Michael St. Croix and Martin Gernat each had a goal and an assist for the Oil Kings (47-15-7), who have won eight straight games, while Kristians Pelss added a single goal.

Jordan Peddle, Ryan Dech and Tyler Maxwell each chipped in with two assists.

Matthew Dumba scored a goal and set up two more for the Rebels (30-32-6), who have dropped three in a row, and Marc McCoy, Marc Mackenzie and Tyson Ness had a goal apiece.

Laurent Brossoit made 24 saves for the win while Deven Dubyk allowed all seven goals on 43 shots against.

Edmonton went 3 for 9 on the power play as Red Deer scored once on seven chances with the man advantage.
