If the whole hockey thing doesn't work out for Edmonton Oilers center Connor McDavid, it's nice to know he has a future as a juggler.
During a 2-0 loss to the St. Louis Blues on Saturday, McDavid, for some reason, juggled the puck up the ice, from near the red line all the way to the face-off circle.
He must have felt that was the most efficient way for him to get the puck up the ice, otherwise, why would he have done it? But it was, one could say, different, to see a player pull out a trick usually only done in warmups as ritual and bring it to a game and use it effectively to advance the puck against a defender. The lesson here, of course, is that Connor McDavid can do anything he wants on the ice at anytime.
