Brett Connolly agreed to terms on a four-year contract with the Florida Panthers on Monday. Financial terms were not released.

The 27-year-old forward had NHL career highs in goals (22), assists (24) and points (46) in 81 regular-season games with the Washington Capitals last season and two goals in seven Stanley Cup Playoff games.

He had nine points (six goals, three assists) in 24 playoff games to help the Capitals win the Stanley Cup in 2018.
"Brett is a Stanley Cup champion who knows what it takes to win in this league," Panthers general manager Dale Tallon said. "He brings a dimension of both size and skill to our young forward group and will strengthen our depth."
Selected by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the first round (No. 6) of the 2010 NHL Draft, Connolly has 155 points (79 goals, 76 assists) in 427 games with the Capitals, Boston Bruins and Lightning, and 11 points (three goals, eight assists) in 38 playoff games.
