Goaltender Joonas Korpisalo will start for the Columbus Blue Jackets, who can pull even with the Washington Capitals for first place in the Metropolitan Division and the NHL standings with a victory at Canadian Tire Centre. Korpisalo has a 1-1-0 record and a 2.54 goals-against average in two games since being recalled from Cleveland of the American Hockey League. He was 16-12-4 with a 2.60 GAA for Columbus last season. This is the first of five consecutive road games for the Blue Jackets, including three before the All-Star break. Columbus is 4-5-0 since its 16-game winning streak after defeating the Carolina Hurricanes 3-2 at Nationwide Arena on Saturday. One of those losses came Thursday, when the Ottawa Senators won 2-0 at Columbus. The Blue Jackets are 13-5-3 on the road and have outscored their opponents 60-49. Columbus will be completing its 11th of 19 back-to-back games: The Blue Jackets are 9-2-0 in the first game and 5-2-3 in the second. They have the top NHL's power play at 24.3 percent, but they are ninth on the road at 21.5 percent.
