The Columbus Blue Jackets have activated center Liam Foudy off the Injured/Non-Roster list and loaned him to the Ontario Hockey League's London Knights, club General Manager Jarmo Kekalainen announced today. The forward suffered an upper body injury at the NHL Prospects Tournament in September.
Foudy, 19, set OHL career highs with 36 goals and 32 assists for 68 points with 32 penalty minutes and a +39 plus/minus rating in 62 outings with the Knights in 2018-19. He finished second-T in the league in shorthanded goals (six) and ranked third on London in goals and points. He also made his professional debut at the end of the campaign, recording 2-0-2 in eight Calder Cup Playoffs games with the American Hockey League's Cleveland Monsters.
The Scarborough, Ontario native has registered 69-54-123 with 73 penalty minutes and a +38 plus/minus rating in 185 career OHL games with the Knights. The 6-2, 182-pound center was selected by the Blue Jackets in the first round, 18th overall, at the 2018 NHL Draft.
