The Game

Columbus Blue Jackets left wing Artemi Panarin and Chicago Blackhawks left wing Brandon Saad, traded for one another on June 23, will be in the spotlight at United Center.

Panarin had three assists in his debut with the Blue Jackets, who defeated the New York Islanders 5-0 at Nationwide Arena on Friday. Saad had a hat trick in the Blackhawks' 10-1 win against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Thursday.

Goalie Corey Crawford will start for the Blackhawks. The Blue Jackets didn't skate Saturday and did not announce their starter. Sergei Bobrovsky made 29 saves Friday.

Players to watch

Alexander Wennberg had two assists against the Islanders while centering Panarin and Cam Atkinson, who scored a goal.

Blackhawks forward Ryan Hartman had five points (one goal, four assists) against the Penguins.

They said it

"I thought it was going to be a little bit of a learning curve of what we want out of [Panarin] in that part of the game. From Day 1, he's been involved. He's asked questions. We're really excited about what he brings in the full package." -- Blue Jackets coach John Tortorella on Panarin's defensive play.

"When we made the trade, that's immediately what I felt … that both guys can really help their teams. In a short one-game sampling, I think both teams would probably be very happy with the way things are going." -- Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville, on the Saad-Panarin trade
