7 p.m. ET; FS-O, FS-CR, NHL.TV

The Game

Forward Josh Anderson will make his season debut with the Columbus Blue Jackets after signing a three-year contract reportedly worth $5.55 million on Oct. 3. Anderson, who had 29 points (17 goals, 12 assists) last season, was a restricted free agent.

Carolina Hurricanes defenseman Trevor van Riemsdyk is out with a concussion. Van Riemsdyk fell into the end boards during a season-opening 5-4 win against the Minnesota Wild on Saturday. Hurricanes coach Bill Peters said van Riemsdyk also has knee and ankle injuries from the fall.

Players to watch

Blue Jackets goalie Sergei Bobrovsky made 29 saves in a 5-0 win against the New York Islanders on Oct. 6 for his 20th shutout to pass Steve Mason on the Blue Jackets' all-time list. He is expected to start against the Hurricanes.

Hurricanes forward Sebastian Aho had the primary assists on the tying and go-ahead goals in the third period against the Wild on Saturday.

They said it

"This is a team that's fast. Their back end is really quick. This is a really good club, very well coached. They've got some enthusiasm." -- Blue Jackets coach John Tortorella on facing the Hurricanes

They're going to try to beat you up ice when they leave the zone, so you've got to reload hard and be committed to beating them up ice." -- Peters on the Blue Jackets defensemen
