Colton Yellow Horn scores a goal and two assists as Americans beat Blazers @NHLdotcom

KENNEWICK, Wash. - Colton Yellow Horn scored a goal and two assists to lead the Tri-City Americans over the Kamloops Blazers 4-1 to take a 2-0 lead in their first-round series.

The Blazers opening the scoring at 7:28 of the first period with a goal by Ivan Rohac, and Kamloops held the lead until the second period.

The Americans tied the game at 5:10 of the second on a goal by Eric Mestery, and Shaun Vey gave Tri-Cities the lead for good at 13:29.

Taylor Procyshen and Yellow Horn scored for the Americans in the third period to put the game away.

Chet Pickard finished with 21 saves for the Americans, who have won seven straight dating back to the regular season.

Justin Leclerc finished with 35 saves for the Blazers, who have lost 16 of their last 17 games.
