Colton Grant scores twice as Medicine Hat beats Lethbridge 4-2 @NHLdotcom

MEDICINE HAT, Alta. - Colton Grant scored twice and added an assist to lead the Medicine Hat Tigers to a 4-2 win over the visiting Lethbridge Hurricanes in Western Hockey League action on Saturday.

Grant opened the scoring in the first period, then set up a goal for linemate Wacey Hamilton. Tyler Ennis, with his 32nd goal of the season, also scored early for the Tigers (32-18-5-2).

The Hurricanes (35-16-2-3) shrunk the Medicine Hat lead to 3-2 midway through the second period on goals by Zach Boychuk, on the power play, and Mike Wuchterl.

Grant's second of the game came on a breakaway as the 18-year-old defensive forward stepped out of the penalty box early in the third period.

Ryan Holfeld made 40 saves in the Tigers net. Lethbridge's Mike Maniago stopped 19 shots overall.

Lethbridge was 1 for 6 with the man advantage. Medicine Hat's power-play was 0 for 2 with both chances overlapping in the final minute of the third.
