At 12:19 of the second period in the Avalanche/Golden Knights game, Colorado requested a Coach's Challenge to review whether Vegas was off-side prior to Oscar Lindberg's goal.

After reviewing all available replays and consulting with the Linesman, NHL Hockey Operations staff determined that the actions of Colorado's Sven Andrighetto caused the puck to enter the attacking zone and the call on the ice was upheld - good goal Vegas Golden Knights. The decision was made in accordance with Rule 83.1 which states, in part, that "If a player legally carries or passes the puck back into his own defending zone while a player of the opposing team is in such defending zone, the off-side shall be ignored and play permitted to continue."
Since the Coach's Challenge did not result in the original call being overturned, the Colorado Avalanche are assessed a minor penalty for delaying the game.
