Cole Perfetti will be out at least eight weeks for the Winnipeg Jets because of an upper-body injury.

The forward scored in a 4-2 loss to the New Jersey Devils on Sunday but did not play in a 4-1 win against the New York Rangers on Monday and a 2-1 loss against the New York Islanders on Wednesday.
"That was probably in the New Jersey game," Jets coach Rick Bowness said Friday. "I don't know the exact moment. He might have gotten hit and it was a buildup."
Bowness said the injury would not require surgery.
Selected by the Jets with the No. 10 pick in the 2020 NHL Draft, Perfetti has 30 points (eight goals, 22 assists) in 51 games this season after he had seven points (two goals, five assists) in 18 games last season.
Winnipeg (35-23-1) lost 5-1 to the Colorado Avalanche on Friday and is second in the Central Division, one point behind the Dallas Stars.
