KELOWNA, B.C. - Cody Almond had a goal and four assists while linemates Lucas Bloodoff and Brandon McMillan also had multipoint nights for Kelowna as the Rockets drilled the Kamloops Blazers 6-1 in Western Hockey League action Tuesday night.
McMillan had a goal and three assists while Bloodoff had two goals and one assist for Kelowna (6-7-1-1), which snapped a two-game losing streak, including a 5-3 loss to the Blazers on Friday. Also scoring for the Rockets were Kyle St. Denis and Colin Long. Replying for Kamloops (6-8-1-0) was Kenton Dulle, who opened the scoring 19 seconds into the game with a long, on-the-fly wrist shot from just inside Kelowna's blue-line.
Kris Westblom made 12 stops for the Rockets, who led 2-1 and 5-1 at the period breaks.
Justin Leclerc took the loss for the Blazers, making 17 saves on 21 stops before getting pulled midway through the second. James Priestner made nine saves in relief.
