Coda Gordon scores twice in the third as Broncos down Hurricanes 6-3 @NHLdotcom

SWIFT CURRENT, Sask. - Coda Gordon scored third-period goals 46 seconds apart Saturday as the Swift Current Broncos defeated the Lethbridge Hurricanes 6-3 in the Western Hockey League.

Gordon's goal with at 12:17 snapped a 3-3 tie and he tapped in his own rebound moments later for added insurance. The 17-year-old rookie now has four goals and six assists in six games this season.

Ryan Moser, Graham Black, Adam Lowry and Dalton Reum also scored for Swift Current (2-3-1) as the Broncos picked up their first win at home this season.

Landon Oslanski, Brady Ramsay and Graham Hood replied for Lethbridge (2-4-1).

Hurricanes netminder Tanner Kovacs made 18 saves in his first WHL start.

Swift Current's Jon Groenheyde stopped 21 shots to improve to 1-0-1 with the Broncos after being acquired from the Edmonton Oil Kings on Tuesday.
