Cloud scores winner early in third as the Thunderbirds down Everett 3-1 @NHLdotcom

KENT, Wash. - Chris Cloud scored his 10th goal of the season only 18 seconds into the third period to lift the Seattle Thunderbirds to a 3-1 win over the Everett Silvertips.

After a scoreless first period, Jim O'Brien opened the scoring for Seattle (19-22-1-3) with his 14th goal at 1:57 of the second period.

The Silvertips (21-18-5-0) tied it with a power play goal by Tyler Maxwell, the rookie centre's 16th of the season.

Jeremy Boyer added an insurance goal for Seattle at 17:17 of the third.

Jacob De Serres made 34 saves for the Thunderbirds. Everett netminder Thomas Heemskerk stopped 32 shots.
