Clark's two-goal effort propels Brandon past Lethbridge 6-4 @NHL

LETHBRIDGE, Alta. - Andrew Clark scored twice and the Brandon Wheat Kings overcame a rough night on the penalty kill to earn a 6-4 win over the Lethbridge Hurricanes in WHL action Tuesday night.

Clark's first goal on a Brandon power play midway through the third period stood as the game winner, extending the Wheat Kings's points streak to five games. Clark added an short-handed empty netter with five seconds left.

Brayden Schenn, Anton Lewadniuk, Jay Fehr and Paul Ciarelli added singles for Brandon (21-13-2-1), while Nathan Green chipped in with three assists.

Colton Sceviour had a pair of goals to pace the Hurricanes (20-17-0-2), who dropped their fourth game in a row despite going 3-for-6 with the man advantage. Dwight King added a goal and three assists, while Carter Ashton also scored.

Andrew Hayes stopped 22 shots to earn the win for Brandon.

Michael Tadjdeh made 28 saves in defeat for Lethbridge.
