Cimadamore scores first of season as Rangers hang on for 3-1 win over Brampton

KITCHENER, Ont. - Julian Cimadamore's first goal of the season was the game-winner as the Kitchener Rangers beat the Brampton Battalion 3-1 on Friday night in the Ontario Hockey League.

Kitchener (17-6-3) had a 3-0 lead early in the second period and hung on for the victory despite being outshot 27-18 by the Battalion.

Micky Sartoretto and Michael Catenacci also scored for the Rangers. Sean Jones had the lone goal for Brampton (11-11-4).

Mavric Parks stopped 26 shots for Kitchener, while Battalion netminder Jacob Riley made 15 saves.
