KENNEWICK, Wash. - Chris Bruton scored two goals and three assists and Drayson Bowman added two goals and one assist in leading the Spokane Chiefs to a 5-3 WHL victory over the Tri-City Americans in a battle for first place in the U.S. Division on Saturday night.
With the win, the Chiefs take a three-point lead over the Americans (19-6-0-0) and own the best record in the the WHL at 19-3-1-2, 41 points.
Judd Blackwater also scored for Spokane, who got 19 saves from Dustin Tokarski. The Chiefs have won six in a row.
Kruise Reddick, Lane Werbowski and Shaun Vey scored for the Americans, who had their six-game win streak snapped.
