Nick Schmaltz breaks skate, gets boost to bench

Chicago Blackhawks forward Nick Schmaltz was on the wrong end of it this time.
Schmaltz tried his best to get off the ice. He hopped, he pushed, he clawed. The process was a slow one.
Teammate Artemi Panarin tried to give Schmaltz a boost to the bench, but he used his stick and was only minimally effective.
Schmaltz eventually got to the bench to find it full of laughing teammates. He couldn't help but crack a smile of his own.
