Chase Schaber breaks tie to help Kamloops Blazers edge Cougars 4-3 @NHLdotcom

KAMLOOPS, B.C. - Chase Schaber broke a 2-2 tie in the third period and the Kamloops Blazers went on to a 4-3 Western Hockey League victory over the Prince George Cougars on Sunday.

Schaber scored his 18th goal of the season at 8:34 and winger Matej Bene added his second short-handed goal of the game less than two minutes later.

Mark Hall also scored for Kamloops (32-32-6).

Alex Rodgers, Jaroslav Vlach and James Dobrowolski replied for the Cougars (11-54-3), who have lost 13 in a row.

Kamloops goaltender Kurtis Mucha stopped 24 shots, while at the other end Kyle Jahraus turned aside 30.
