Chara, Julien to stay together at All-Star Game

by Adam Kimelman
Zdeno Chara will see some familiar faces when he skates to bench at the 2012 Tim Hortons NHL All-Star Game on Jan. 29.

Chara, one of the team captains for the All-Star Game, will be coached by his regular Boston Bruins coaching staff -- head coach Claude Julien, and assistants Doug Houda, Doug Jarvis and Geoff Ward.

Julien and his staff were rewarded with the All-Star coaching spot thanks to their Stanley Cup win last spring.

Team Alfredsson, captained by Ottawa Senators captain Daniel Alfredsson, will be guided by John Tortorella of the New York Rangers and Todd McLellan of the San Jose Sharks.

Tortorella and McLellan earned All-Star coaching honors for leading their respective conferences in points percentage through the midpoint of the 2011-12 regular season, which was Monday, Jan. 9.
