Chappell scores winner as Saginaw holds off the Greyhounds 3-2 @NHLdotcom

SAULT STE. MARIE, Ont. - Chris Chappell's late first-period power-play goal was the eventual game-winner as the Saginaw Spirit held off the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds 3-2 on Sunday night in the Ontario Hockey League.

Tyler Murovich and Barry Sanderson also scored in the first period for the Spirit (27-17-0-3), who led 3-0 heading into the second.

Carson Dubchak and Jacob Muzzin found the net for Sault Ste. Marie (16-29-2-1), which is on a five-game losing skid.

Anthony Peters made 13 saves for Saginaw, while Greyhounds netminder Cody St. Jacques stopped 22 shots.
