Chappell scores two as Saginaw downs the Greyhounds 5-3 to win fourth straight

SAGINAW, Mich. - Chris Chappell lead the way with two goals and an assist as the Saginaw Spirit ran their winning streak to four games, beating the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds 5-3 on Saturday night in the Ontario Hockey League.

Jack Combs and Joe Pleckaitis added a goal and an assist for Saginaw (12-6-0-0).

The two teams traded goals in the first two periods as Combs opened the scoring only to see Sault Ste. Marie (10-8-1-0) answer on a goal from Matt Lyall with less then three minutes to go in the first. In the second period, Chappell notched his first of two but Anthony Peluso tied the score at 2-2 late in the period. The Spirit pulled away from the Grehounds in the final 20 minutes to secure the win.

Edward Pasquale stopped 25 shots for Saginaw, while Sault Ste. Marie netminder Cody St. Jacques made 26 saves.
