Center Jason Spezza settling in with Dallas Stars, signs $30M, 4-year contract extension @NHLdotcom

DALLAS - The Dallas Stars have signed centre Jason Spezza to a four-year contract extension.

Terms of the contract were not released, but multiple reports say it's worth US$30 million.

Spezza has four goals and 14 assists in 20 games this season.

The Stars acquired Spezza, a two-time all-star, in an off-season trade with Ottawa.

Spezza spent his first 11 NHL seasons with the Senators, serving as team captain last season.

Spezza has 705 points (225 goals, 450 assists) and 436 penalty minutes in 706 career NHL games.
