Famous Penguins fans flock to social media after win

Actor Russell Crowe, Steelers' Antonio Brown among those on Twitter following Pittsburgh's berth in Cup Final

The Pittsburgh Penguins are in the Stanley Cup Final for the first time since 2009, and their fans are excited.

The Penguins will play the San Jose Sharks in the Cup Final; Game 1 will be Monday at Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh (8 p.m. ET; NBC, CBC, TVA Sports). Many Penguins fans took to social media Thursday and Friday to voice their pleasure about Pittsburgh's 2-1 win against the Tampa Bay Lightning in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Final.

Russell Crowe delivered his customary celebratory tweet.

Canadian actor and singer Alan Doyle, a Montreal Canadiens fan, responded to Crowe, voicing his excitement about the Penguins reaching the Cup Final.

Members of the NFL's Pittsburgh Steelers were at Consol Energy Center on Thursday, and Pro Bowl receiver Antonio Brown was among those who cheered the Penguins to victory.

Brown also tweeted that Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and his family are supporting the Penguins even as Roethlisberger's wife Ashley was delivering the couple's third child.

Actor and Pittsburgh native Joe Manganiello tweeted his excitement about the win.

United States Women's National Team goalie Brianne McLaughlin, who is from Pittsburgh, was enthusiastic about the Penguins' win but also fearful that captain Sidney Crosby chose to touch the Prince of Wales Trophy.
