Cedrick Desjardin stops 25 as Hamilton Bulldogs beat Chicago Wolves 3-2 @NHLdotcom

HAMILTON - Cedrick Desjardins turned aside 25 shots as the Hamilton Bulldogs held off a late rally to beat the Chicago Wolves 3-2 in AHL action Friday.

Bulldogs (27-16-2-0) forward Mike Glumac scored a power-play goal in the first period and Steve Gainey made it 2-0 on a short-handed goal just 66 seconds later.

Jeff Hamilton's power-play goal in the second period cut the Bulldogs lead to one, but Hamilton's Ryan O'Byrne put the game out of reach at 15:06 in the third with his first goal of the season.

Chicago centre Steve Martins scored at 17:24 in the third but by then a comeback was out of reach.

Robert Gherson made 17 saves for the loss as the Wolves fell to 22-20-2-1.
