Paquette signs two-year contract with Lightning

Forward gets $1.65 million annually, had 13 goals with Tampa Bay last season

Cedric Paquette signed a two-year, $3.3 million contract with the Tampa Bay Lightning on Friday. It has an average annual value of $1.65 million.

The forward, who turns 26 on Aug. 13, had 17 points and an NHL career-high 13 goals in 80 games with the Lightning last season. He had one goal in four Stanley Cup Playoff games.

Selected by Tampa Bay in the fourth round (No. 101) of the 2012 NHL Draft, Paquette has 67 points (40 goals, 27 assists) in 316 regular-season games and nine points (five goals, four assists) in 66 playoff games.
