OTTAWA - Cody Ceci's game-winning goal capped a third-period Ottawa comeback as the 67's won 4-3 over the defending Memorial Cup champion Windsor Spitfires on Friday in the Ontario Hockey League.
Cody Lindsay had a goal and assist for the 67's (2-2-1), who snapped a two-game losing skid and got their first home win of the season.
Thomas Nesbitt and Tyler Graovac also scored for the 67's while Tyler Cuma and Ryan Martindale had two assists each. Chris Perugini had 26 saves for the win.
"Everybody has been telling me to shoot lately, so I decided to shoot," Ceci, 15, said of his first Ontario Hockey League goal. "It bounced off a guy in front so it was a bit of a fluke goal, but was pretty excited to see it go in."
Cam Fowler had a goal and two assists for the Spitfires (3-2-1), Adam Henrique had a goal and an assist while Scott Timmins had the other goal. Troy Passingham made 28 saves.
The 67's entered the third period trailing 3-1 but Graovac and Nesbitt scored in the opening five minutes to tie the game. Ceci scored the winner with a point shot that deflected off a Spitfires defender at 11:23.
