Cataractes forward Bernier and Sea Dogs defenceman Grant take QMJHL honours @NHLdotcom

BOUCHERVILLE, Que. - Shawinigan Cataractes forward Patrick Bernier was named Quebec Major Junior Hockey League offensive player of the week on Monday.

Bernier had two goals and four assists in two games last week. Mathieu Perreault of Acadie-Bathurst, Michael Dubuc of Rouyn-Noranda and Stefano Gillati of Lewiston were also considered.

Saint John Sea Dogs defenceman Alex Grant took the defensive player of the week honour.

Grant had six assists in three games last week. Nicolas Champion and Maxime Renaud of Acadie-Bathurst were also considered along with Bobby Nadeau of Chicoutimi.
