CALGARY - Carson McMillan scored twice and added an assist to lead the Calgary Hitmen to a 4-1 win over the Saskatoon Blades on Saturday in Western Hockey League action.
Kyle Bortis set up both of McMillan's markers and scored the lone goal of the first period for the Hitmen (12-6-0-1), who ended a three-game losing streak.
Ryan White notched his team-leading eighth goal of the season, while goalie Dan Spence made 30 saves to improve his record to 7-2-1.
Justin McRae scored the lone goal of the game for the Blades (4-11-1-0) at 16:43 of the third period to ruin Spence's shut-out bid.
Saskatoon netminder Braden Holtby stopped 10 of the 13 shots he face before being pulled from the game at 12:01 of the second period after surrendering goals 19 seconds apart to McMillan and White. Garrett Zemiak made nine saves in relief for the Blades, who have yet to win a game on the road this season in 10 attempts.
