Carrozzi stops 27 as Mississauga blanks Peterborough 3-0 to complete sweep @NHLdotcom

PETERBOROUGH, Ont. - Chris Carrozzi stopped all 27 shots he faced to finish off the Peterborough Petes as the Mississauga St. Michael's Majors completed the sweep in their Ontario Hockey League first-round playoff series with a 3-0 shutout Thursday night.

It was another dominating performance by the Majors, who outshot Peterborough 150-107 in the series.

Dustin Ekelman opened the scored midway through the second period, Devante Smith-Pelly added a power-play goal and Ryan Lopes capped the scoring with an empty-netter as Mississauga advanced to the conference semifinals for the second straight season.

Cameron Gaunce added two assists. Petes netminder Jason Missiaen made 39 saves.
