Carroll's four points help power Attack to 6-2 victory over Plymouth @NHLdotcom

PLYMOUTH, Mich. - Marcus Carroll had a goal and three assists as the Owen Sound Attack scored three first-period goals to defeat the Plymouth Whalers 6-2 on Friday night in Ontario Hockey League action.

Bobby Mignardi scored twice to back Scott Stajcer's 29-save performance, while Jesse Blacker, Mike Halmo and Jason Wilson scored the others for the Attack (6-10-3).

Plymouth captain Ryan Hayes, in his first game since shoulder surgery sidelined him after the first game of the year, and Tyler Seguin tallied for the Whalers (9-6-0-0).

Matt Hackett started in goal for Plymouth and allowed four goals on 16 shots. Scott Wedgewood replaced Hackett 45 seconds into the second period and finished with 18 saves.
