Carrick scores first two OHL goals to lead the Battalion over Mississauga 5-3 @NHLdotcom

BRAMPTON, Ont. - Brampton Battalion rookie Sam Carrick, who was stymied on numerous occasions this young season, scored his first two career Ontario Hockey League goals Sunday afternoon as Brampton won 5-3 to complete a home-and-home sweep of their Central Division rivals, the Mississauga-St. Michael's Majors.

The Battalion (6-6-0-0), who won 1-0 in Mississauga on Friday, also got goals from Evgeny Grachev, Cody Hodgson and Matt Duchene.

In addition to his insurance goal with 4:24 remaining in the third period, Duchene added a pair of assists to make it a three-point afternoon.

Cameron Gaunce, Ryan Lopes and Michael Pelech scored for the St. Michael's Majors (5-4-0-0).

Brandon Foote made 16 saves for Brampton, while Mississauga netminder J.P. Anderson stopped 40 shots.
