"It was huge (for our team), it was a lot of fun, and our fans loved it," Foegele said. "I think the whole thing we were trying to preach is 'Have fun.' This is a job that we're fortunate enough to play, but you have to have fun, and I think that was the big key from it."
Foegele created one of the most popular, mimicking the famous bat-flip playoff home run hit by Jose Bautista for the Toronto Blue Jays in 2015.
"I think it was my turn to come up with the idea, and just being from Toronto, I thought it would be fitting to do 'Joey Bats,'" Foegele said. "And I think baseball [spring training] was just starting, so you know, it was perfect timing for that."
