Pekka Rinne made 32 saves, and defenseman Mattias Ekholm scored two goals for the Nashville Predators in a 3-0 preseason win against the Carolina Hurricanes at Bridgestone Arena on Wednesday.

Craig Smith scored a power-play goal for Nashville, and Ryan Ellis had two assists.

Ekholm gave the Predators a 2-0 lead at 4:04 of the third period and made it 3-0 at 10:59.

Anton Forsberg made 37 saves for the Hurricanes.
