Hurricanes activate Justin Faulk

Defenseman missed four games with lower-body injury, could play Thursday @NHLdotcom

The Carolina Hurricanes activated defenseman Justin Faulk from injured reserve on Thursday, and he is expected to play against the St. Louis Blues at Scottrade Center (8 p.m. ET; FS-MW, FS-CR, NHL.TV).

Faulk, 24, missed four games with a lower-body injury since Dec. 23. He has seven goals and 16 points in 30 games and is second on the Hurricanes in average ice time (23:06). Faulk has 56 goals, 171 points and 150 penalty minutes in 356 NHL games.

Carolina has gone 1-3-0 in his absence.

Carolina placed forward Elias Lindholm on injured reserve, retroactive to Dec. 30, with an upper-body injury.
