Skjei was partnered up with Brett Pesce and Pacioretty partnered up with Paul Stastny, who talked them through the drawings.
The results were mixed.
Skjei's focused on nailing the basic outline of the state, keeping his lines straight and didn't bother with too many details. The Hurricanes defenseman was impressed with his finished product and Pesce was proud of his partner.
"Wow. That's special Skjeis," Pesce said while admiring Skjei's drawing.
Pacioretty was more concerned about nailing the details of the state.
"This is really hard…the coast is impossible," Pacioretty said before attempting his drawing.
The Hurricanes forward sped his way through his sketch, making sure to get the details of the coast right. Stastny was impressed with the squiggles in the finished product.
The drawings will not be hung in a gallery anytime soon.
