Carnevale scores late power-play goal as Oshawa edges the Colts 4-3 @NHL

OSHAWA, Ont. - Taylor Carnevale's power-play goal with 2:53 remaining lifted the Oshawa Generals to a 4-3 win over the Barrie Colts Sunday night in the Ontario Hockey League.

Carnevale stuffed a backhand past Barrie goalie Michael Hutchinson on a rebound to break a 3-3 tie.

Tyler Taylor led the Generals (7-7-1-0) with a goal and two assists, while John Tavares and Michael Del Zotto each had a pair of assists. Tavares now has 26 points on the season, two behind OHL-leading Taylor Hall of the Windsor Spitfires.

Jeff Brown and Calvin de Haan scored the other Oshawa goals.

Andrew Eastman had a goal and an assist to lead the Colts. Stefan Della Rovere and Ryan Gottschalk also scored for Barrie (6-7-1-0), who lost its fourth straight.

Daryl Borden made 29 saves for the Generals, who snapped a four-game losing streak. Colts netminder Michael Hutchinson stopped 30 shots.
